I went and got us a house. Four bedrooms, two bathrooms. Figured it was about time we got out of that apartment to somewhere with a bit more space.
[He also sends a picture of a very tiny black kitten. So small he more or less fits in Azrael's palm- which is in fact where the kitten is sitting in the picture.]
[ the first message is unexpected, but not necessarily a surprise. lana was not even kind of prepared to move this week, but there's no schedule of hers she won't rearrange for azrael, even if there may wind up being some exasperation over his timing. never too much, though, because it's not like he's leaving her.
she's already starting to compose a quick response when the kitten picture comes in and... okay, this one is surprising. ]
Why?
[ it's a pet, obviously, but somehow seems more impulsive than the house. ]
When I was walking by he was in the middle of escaping the playpen he was in with his... Siblings? Other kittens, at any rate. He was clinging to the fence, screaming with the ferocity of a creature more lung and indignant rage than anything else.
And honestly, after that display, how could I merely keep on walking past and not get him.
